Gators Beat Seminoles In Rivalry Game

The Florida Gators (7-5) defeated the Florida State Seminoles (2-10) 31-11 on Saturday night in Tallahassee.

The Gators finished their season with a 7-5 mark and are bowl eligible, while Florida State's season ending with a 2-10 mark in a season that fell well short of expectations.

The Gators led 14-0 at halftime and had two fourth quarter touchdowns to pull away in the game. Gators quarterback DJ Lagway went 14-for-22 with 133 yards passing with two touchdowns and an interception. Seminoles quarterback Luke Kromenhoek went 15-for-28 with 140 yards passing on the game.

After the game things got heated when the Gators attempted to plant a flag midfield - Seminoles coach Mike Norvell was among the first to react and remove the flag from the ground in Tallahassee.

While the Seminoles season is over, the Gators will now wait to learn where they will play in the upcoming bowl season.
